Meet Your Speakers
Kathy Times
Kathy Y. Times is an Emmy-award-winning storyteller, president of Yellow Brick Media Concepts, and founder of KathyTimesWOW, a professional branding and leadership development program. With more than 20 years in TV news and newspaper, she launched her public relations company in 2012. She took a leave of absence from Yellow Brick Media Concepts in 2016 to serve as Florida A&M University’s (FAMU) chief communications officer until January 2020. She led a team that boosted student enrollment and elevated the university’s ranking as the top public historically Black university. Previously, she was president and CEO of the National Association of Black Journalists (2009-2011) while working as an evening news anchor. In 2014, Kathy created WOW media and branding seminars, which grew into an eight-module course offered online and in person, providing training in executive branding, leadership development, and media relations. Kathy earned bachelor's degrees in computer information systems and journalism from FAMU and a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
Anne PryorÂ
Anne Pryor, known as the “LinkedIn Whisperer” is a nationally recognized LinkedIn Expert who has coached and training over 350,000 people and written more than 35,000 personal LinkedIn profiles for successful jobs and profitable business opportunities. She has trained job seekers, executives, sales and marketing leaders, HR, recruiters, physicians, and attorneys.
She has been quoted in Forbes, numerous books, been a guest on MPR Radio, and is a sought-out speaker on all things LinkedIn, Online Branding and Connection. A former senior level marketing executive at Fortune 500 corporations, ESOP and private companies, Anne knows the value of meaningful connections in job search, networking, and business development.
She holds a Master of Arts in Human Development, Transformational Leadership and Holistic Health and Wellness from St. Mary’s University and a BA in Business and Communications from SMSU. She is the creator of Lovitude™ and has presented on The Shift Network, IANDS and the Hallmark Channel, Home & Family Show.
